ANNOUNCING OUR NEW HOCKEY DIRECTOR AND PRESIDENT

April 19, 2018

It is with pride and honor that the Board of GYHA has elected me President of their organization.

I bring to GYHA a vision of renewed energy, a positive atmosphere where skills are the forefront and

essentially raising the bar for the entire organization. As a united group, we can up the bar on hockey

skills as well as instill a strong respect for work ethic and each other.

GYHA President Mission Statement:

My years of experiences have defined my mission statement, as follows: “Form good habits, play hard, play smart, play together.”  Building confidence and character through not only individual skill, but also team skill that will help them throughout their hockey career.

Goals for GYHA

  • Striving for higher placement level for each team
  • Recruiting, interviewing, qualified experienced coaches with the proper demeanor to grow the

skill as well as the confidence level of each player through positive reinforcement.

  • Personal assessment of each player, navigating their needs with proper programming and training.
  • I will have a strong commitment to communication with our players as well as parents. This commitment will be equal across all team levels.
  • Working seamlessly with GYHA Board, The Pond’s resources as well as our newly appointed Hockey Director Jim Revak. (please see attached Hockey Bio)

Hockey Director Mission Statement:

To deliver a safe environment where youth will learn and play the sport of ice hockey.  Through disciplined practice and healthy competition, we not only aim to encourage the physical development and skill acquisition necessary for the game of hockey, but also the dedication to the team, the motivation for improvement, and respect for others.
